The story of the doctor…
There is nothing worse than not living up to your potential. You have so much knowledge to share, it’s time you put it to good use. But you might say to yourself “I have no special knowledge.” But It’s not true.
I have a friend who is a doctor and he is just starting out. He has a good job working for a good company which has enabled him to gain valuable real world experience. He has a brilliant mind and I have been trying to convince him to start a blog or a podcast, something where he can have a platform to talk about all his great ideas and theories. He won’t do it, constantly citing that he doesn’t “know enough” just yet. Well this response always leaves me flabbergasted. He went through 8 years of schooling and he doesn’t know enough to start a podcast? Bullshit.
This is something that many people, including myself, struggle with. The special knowledge that you gain becomes so familiar that it seems almost common sense. But in reality, to someone who is hearing it for the very first time, it could be life changing. Knowledge that seems like common sense to you could be undiscovered genius for others. They have to hear it first somewhere. It might as well be you.
